The current improvements in the training standards of employee safety training overlook the fact that employees often need to use psychology-based defensive skills against angry citizens. At times employees are often faced with scenarios that call for serious tactical decisions—yet they receive little or no training in these important issues. Â
The training offered is not about learning to strike an aggressor, psychology is applied to deflect an aggressor/attacker and gaining a position where confrontation can be minimised or avoided & subsequent management skills applied.
It is important to understand the reason we make decisions from our observations so that removal methods can be applied, thus reducing the risk of harm to others and self.
RRG has been assisting businesses, companies and special interest groups in training their employees on how to remove a POI safely and effectively, without injury to the POI or themselves. This training is about re-educating people on simple awareness of confrontation management to reduce the risk of injury or leave from work due to an incident.
